The Uwharrie Players have put together a slate of two shows for this season! An original comedy by our very own Wall of Famer Gary Moran entitled I'm Dying To Be In the Choir will be performed in June of 2021. Auditions are coming soon! And for our Fall production, the Uwharrie Players will take on the witty classic by Noel Coward, Blithe Spirit. We encourage everyone to audition, but we are also always on the look out for folks who are willing to assist with stage management, props, set building, costumes, lighting and sound, and more!
WE NEED YOU! As a non-profit organization that relies heavily on volunteers from our community, there are LOTS of opportunities to help! We have a few special events planned for this Summer that would allow us to cross a few major items off our "To Do" list for the year. Our Fundraising Committee is in the midst of planning a fundraiser for late Summer. More details to come! We are also planning to relocate the set piece storage from behind the Agri-Civic Center to a private property, and will need assistance in moving/hauling pieces from one location to the other, as well as sorting, stacking, and organizing the new space. If you have a truck and trailer, and are willing to do some heavy lifting, we would greatly appreciate your assistance with this!
If you'd like to be involved in any of the above-mentioned activities, of just want to know more about our organization, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or message us on Facebook. We look forward to your involvement!
